MCR is no more

My Chemical Romance has been my favourite band ever since I discovered them 7 years ago.

Very unfortunately, they finally disbanded on March 22nd. After being a fan of them for so many years, the news did hit me a little hard. It's a shame to see them go. The song that first introduced me to them is Helena.

I got hooked by them instantly. Yes, they've always managed to hit that right spot between rock/punk/metal. I can only say that they're truly unique and I haven't came across any bands that is remotely close to their style.

Maybe it's because they have songs that lets you sing your lungs out and vent all your feelings away. Songs like I'm Not Okay that is still my all time favourite. At least half the songs from each album are my favourites, they just hit all the right spots. I remember the days I will sing until my throat gets sore, it's that awesome.

It's regretful that I didn't have the chance to catch their live performance at least once. I wish that they would have some sort of reunion in the future, get on a tour, or it'll be such a shame.

Thankfully, there has been another band that also has a distinct style and voice, Fun. Of course, they belong in entirely different categories, but it's the feeling that the songs bring.; especially when you see the acoustic versions in their live recordings.

I have nothing more to say, I was totally bummed out on the day I discovered they disbanded, that feeling has passed but man, it's just that tingling sense of regret.

Thank you MCR for all the amazing music.
So long and goodnight,
We'll carry on.

So my intern starts tomorrow
Sunday, March 04, 2012

I would love to show you the things I've done over the past couple of days. But sadly, my bro is asleep, and yes I do share the room with him *curses*. So I couldn't possible take photos in the dark.

I could, of course, write my posts in the dark.

Anyway, work starts at 9am tomorrow at Dimension Data. Yeah I know right, that's a pretty cool sounding company. They're dealing with cloud computing, but as an intern, I'll probably be the paper boy around there. Which honestly, kills my mood and make me have no motivation in going there tomorrow.

The upside though, is that it's in town, Suntec. So I'll feel somewhat like a working adult. I'll get to experience the lunch hour rush. Even though it seems largely pointless, I guess it'll be a rather good experience for me working in such environments.

Last but not least, I have no idea what exactly I'll be doing tomorrow, nor do I know what time my work ends. Which honestly does worry me quite a bit. Please, let me end early, so that I could come home and blog about it.

Hung out with awesome people just now, and I talked about removing your google history.

Here's the link for the searches.
https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2012/02/how-remove-your-google-search-history-googles-new-privacy-policy-takes-effect

As for the youtube,
Go to your account (top right hand corner) -> Video Manager -> History -> Clear all viewing history -> Pause viewing history -> Search History -> Clear all search history -> Pause search history

And you records will stopped being logged. Well, sorry for such a rushed guide but well, I'm gonna hit the bed right now, so goodnight, and wish me luck for tomorrow's work (:

A little house keeping with my life
Wednesday, January 18, 2012

I am really really tired these days.

I mean, to the point where I take naps. I'm not the type that takes naps, and that says a lot about how I'm feeling these weeks.

But for the first time, I'm not here only to whine. I think I'm doing pretty well so far for my new year's resolution. If you remember what it is, it's simply.

Stop wasting time.

Well, it's not that I have completely stopped wasting time, but I'm using it more wisely ever so slightly. And it's reflected on my recent grades. It's not that I'm a huge nerd or anything, but come on, it feels really good when you're actually scoring well.

On the random note, I'm taking this elective class called DIY PC which teaches you how to build a PC and like wire up the internals (easy peasy). But since it's a stupid class, we get to deal with ancient hardware. It proved to be interesting to me as a geek.

Booting up in DOS

This CD, was created at least 8 years ago. After all that time, it still works, you can still read magnetic data from it. You have to admit, this is some ingenious shit.

It makes me happy when I was navigating through it, it brings back memories from when I was a really young kid, fucked up my com and got stuck in the black and white screen trying to figure my way out of this shit. So many years have passed since then. I should probably emulate and play with all the old software next time.

Well, I think the novelty of playing around with command-lines have worn off for me. I should really start learning how to make proper use of all this stuff. Note to self, keep going and you're golden.

Till I next see myself,
Adios minions~

Movie: You're the apple of my eye. Stupid show.
Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Just watched this yesterday.

It was funny as hell. But it certainly lived up to it's NC16 rating. With lots of boners and fapping. Oh the fapping. Also gay sex and lots of porn references. It makes that so much better.

So, I hate the girl.

OH NO YOU DIDN'T! Oh hell yeah I did.

I split the post due to spoilers. So don't read it unless you've watched it, or you don't plan to watch it.

Daily Photo #17 - Blurry night
Thursday, November 17, 2011

Could not believe how quickly I went back on my word.

I mentioned that I try my very best to post the pictures I take, on the day itself.; For daily photos.
Here's my problem today, I didn't have space in my bag for my camera, my phone is... screwed as you know. So I didn't have any way of taking pictures.

PLUS. I forgot my keys and was stuck outside till evening. So yes. This is excusable.

I think I have a sadistic side to me. But don't worry, I probably won't lash out on you in real life. Occasionally though, I'll proudly display it like a peacock.

Daily Photo #14 - I am so screwed
Monday, November 14, 2011

As you can see. I opened my phone completely, did not disconnect the internals as it will be a pain to put everything back. I was just checking for defects/etc. Things that I can easily fix. But. Hahhaha. I'm so screwed. Turns out, I can't.

There is something wrong with the USB connector. Cannot charge, cannot connect to computer. Now accidentally do smth wrong, also cannot boot up to main screen. epic fail.

I'm at a loss as the only way to save it is to solder some stuffs on it. And I reaaaally have no confidence in my soldering skills. So... sad to say, but I'll have to go send it for repair. No smart phoney stuffs for the next couple of days I guess! Sighhhh.

At least I tried.
