I haven't written much about my own life ever since exams started, and ended last week. Sure, I might have procrastinated almost every single day, but that'll depend on how you define procrastination!

I am pushing in as much information as I possibly could, regarding computers of course. I have learnt the syntax and basics of Python (programming language), there are a ton of tutorials online. Going to get further into it when I feel like I'm ready.

Installed a Windows 7 virtual machine in VMware and made it as barebones as possible. It only takes up 350MB RAM at boot up. Used to experiment applications in a sandboxed environment. (was testing Spoon.net, check it out!) Also using it to run jperf (GUI version of iperf). jperf is used to run a network load test, which I used to test my router's wireless throughput with my laptop. (it's working, but I haven't collect the data yet) Reason for doing this virtually is because Java is generally buggy, I refuse to install it on my main system.

Started to try running pre-built virtual machines, which are known as Virtual Appliances. Got a LAMP stack up and running pretty quickly, going to use it to try and do some sort of management interface for my home network.

Got started on a Wordpress server as well.



As you can tell from the address, it is hosted locally via a Virtual Machine.

It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, and there are many great documentations about the Wordpress platform. I am a little tempted to try hosting my blog on my own server, hesitating as it entails leaving my computer on 24/7, which is something I didn't build it for.

However, I am considering doing a test run, then throwing it up to AWS (Amazon Web Services) to host my Wordpress server. Which comes at a monthly fee. Something I am not quite sure if I'm ready to commit to yet.

That said, my paranoia is working it's magic and I kinda feel like having a private blog, within my private network. So there's a 0% chance of anyone discovering it. I could even assign a proper URL to it that only my home network could access, the possibilities are endless.

Unfortunately, that's all I had time for so far. There's still a personal email server I want to try hosting, and an online collaboration platform. Virtualization is just splendid!

I say that this is "procrastination" because well, I really do need to find a job to fund my interests. Having such a powerful CPU is a wonderful head start, but it never hurts to have more and better hardware, does it?

Man, my head is so full now.

I am just oh-so-ridiculously tired. It might have something to do with the stupid games I've been playing, or maybe the shortening sleep hours, or the stress from all the tests and upcoming exams.

So.. my old man agreed to get a desktop for me after exams. I've finish sourcing out all the parts today and made a really powerful system sans the graphic card, for $858. Now, will he agree to this price? We'll see about that. As far as powerful computers go, it's the absolute cheapest I can make without sacrificing too much. The moment he gives the green light, you can guarantee that I'm going to go ape-shit about it next weekend.

Still, life has taught me never to be too excited about something that hasn't happened yet. The most unexpected twist in events can often leave you fucked inside out. I am having this little contest with my friend for who has the higher blog views in this month, and it ends tomorrow. Well, someone else said to her that she's a failure if she lost to me. Because "his blog is boring". Though I can't disagree with that, because it's probably boring as fuck to people who don't give a flying shit about me, but it still pricked me.

Well. I suppose I haven't been boring enough. In the sense that, I tend not to write about the geeky things I do. Not that I don't want to write it down or share with others, but sometimes... it's hassle to write something like that down. Technicality is, and always will be, a pain in the ass.

I have absolutely no motivation to do anything.
Or phrased in a nicer way, I have an unyielding determination to do absolutely nothing.

That conclusion was reached because every night, before I sleep, I feel sad and utterly useless. (recently) Not exactly in the depressed and void of hope way, but everyday, I feel like I could've done something more. Something that makes a difference to my life or others. I could've placed a little more effort in my studies. I could've used the time for my hobbies.

At last, it was all just wasted. 

Now, I literally just want to satisfy my hunger then sleep. The moment before I sleep is like the highlight of everyday. That feeling of cuddling under your blanket surrounded by softness, like you're being cradled by white fluffy clouds. Persisting comfort until you drift into unconsciousness. Pathetic as it may sound, it has been true, at least for recently. Everything else seems like a chore and a pain in the ass.

I've just started watching Running Man. It's funny as hell, I get entertained just by lying there and staring at a monitor. I can be satisfied with my day, just like that.

This also explains the lesser posts these days. I am simply tired. To the point where dying seems like a viable option.

I'm kidding, dying is never an option. Fuck that shit I'm immortal.

Of course, this is a new low for me in the department of motivation. I am only writing this down to serve as a warning to my future self. It's more convincing because it came from me. The Lord.

You were an idiot. Stop being an idiot.
Move your fucking ass and work like a dog.
Now go forth and bring riches to my future future self.

I'm, so incredibly tired right now.

Badminton for 3 hours, was supposed to skate after that, but the rain was unforgiving. One of the largest rainstorms in awhile, almost killed my umbrella if I didn't keep it in time.

So ended up walking/exploring around for 3hours+. So, my conclusion is that, walking is in fact really tiring for legs even though it's just walking. Not going to write anything more. I just finished studying for tomorrow's quiz, and my body's about to give up on me.

That said, I'm pretty satisfied with this picture (:

For whatever reasons, I still haven't fully recover from my flu yet. So that's what I've been feeling the entire day.

All that aside, it's finally the start of my final year! It's amazing how quickly time passes. There's only a 2 hour lecture in school today so there's nothing to write home about. But I was doing that animation throughout the lecture.

I realized I haven't been updating my Daily Photo for a couple of days now, I'll search to get a good shot tomorrow!

Long story short, I'm finally a Senior. The school was swarming with breast feeding brats all round, dressed in what they call clothes. Sorry it's not even covering half your body bitch. Sure, I would have appreciated the shameless nudity, but man, I'm just too tired to check them out today.

I observed an interesting trend. 

The amount of cloth is on a downward trajectory,
but the average level of beauty remains constant,
yet the attractiveness increases. 

The conclusion I can draw from this is that:  men, are horny creatures.

ROARRRRR!

What the hell is that disgusting looking thing?!

Yeah it's a prawn.

So yes, no dates this year. No stupid activities, except for this; prawning, overnight. From 12 to 6am. I wasn't exactly planning to stay all the way but heck, might as well.

We caught quite a few!

It was really quite fun. We caught a total of 49 in the span of 6 hours. Not exactly record breaking but well, it was a pretty nice experience for me since I'm a virgin at this.

Even though I felt that this is pretty cruel, the adrenaline rush you get when you first catch something feels frickin' awesome. The down side to this is that I can't eat prawns (allergy) so I didn't really bother fishing for it. Though I tried it for a couple of mins (probably 20mins?) And caught about 4. So yeah it was pretty fun.

Swim off the edge?

As you can see, it is a beautiful view.

It's a stupid story how I ended up staying the night at MBS, Simply put, my friend had a room, but no one else. So being a nice guy I decided to just keep him company so that he wouldn't be weirded out by ghosts. Of course, it's also because he's been my friend for over 10years. Yes, another one, it's not surprising is it?

Well, the bed is large and comfortable. But it's annoying. Because without the blanket, it's too cold, but it's too warm under it. So I had a hell of a time trying to get to sleep.

We actually didn't do much. I came from a so called "farewell" gathering with my gay buddies, it was after 12 and I was tired as hell.

Here's the other thing, the bottles of water that they say are "complementary"? Do not drink them. I'm serious.

They're drugged.

I swear I'm honest, it makes you thirsty when you drink them. So it forces you to buy drinks from them. Seeing as how a coke costs 7bucks, you really don't want to mess with this shit.

I'm not lying.

The interesting part, of course, comes next morning when we had the opportunity to visit the sky garden.

I am really really tired these days.

I mean, to the point where I take naps. I'm not the type that takes naps, and that says a lot about how I'm feeling these weeks.

But for the first time, I'm not here only to whine. I think I'm doing pretty well so far for my new year's resolution. If you remember what it is, it's simply.

Stop wasting time.

Well, it's not that I have completely stopped wasting time, but I'm using it more wisely ever so slightly. And it's reflected on my recent grades. It's not that I'm a huge nerd or anything, but come on, it feels really good when you're actually scoring well.

On the random note, I'm taking this elective class called DIY PC which teaches you how to build a PC and like wire up the internals (easy peasy). But since it's a stupid class, we get to deal with ancient hardware. It proved to be interesting to me as a geek.

Booting up in DOS

This CD, was created at least 8 years ago. After all that time, it still works, you can still read magnetic data from it. You have to admit, this is some ingenious shit. 

It makes me happy when I was navigating through it, it brings back memories from when I was a really young kid, fucked up my com and got stuck in the black and white screen trying to figure my way out of this shit. So many years have passed since then. I should probably emulate and play with all the old software next time.

Well, I think the novelty of playing around with command-lines have worn off for me. I should really start learning how to make proper use of all this stuff. Note to self, keep going and you're golden.

Looking at the sky in school

My best shot yet with the new Galaxy S2. 

Yeah, I'm quite lazy to bring my camera out these few days. Cause, my bag's usually kinda full with shit and I don't wanna make it bloated.

I think this is getting boring. Everyday I complain that I don't have the time to blog because I'm too busy with different stuffs. I mean, what the fuck can I be so busy with? Let me just break it down for you so it's easier to understand why I'm always whining. It's not that I have any pressing matters to attend to, but it's kind of my routine.

When I get home, I turn on my com (yes, right away), and check all my social feeds. Scrolling through really quickly for any interesting videos or images. (only for fb). Then I'll settle all of them. This doesn't take very long.

Then, I would check out all my tech geek websites. Roughly 6 of them. This takes a rather long time. Because I will link here and there to learn different stuffs.

Then, I will open up all my anime/shows tabs to see if anything is released.

Then, I will quickly look around youtube, and other websites, and just scrounge the web for interesting videos. Watching them takes a while.

Then, I will look through the pictures that I've taken that day, provided that I've taken any.

Also, if anyone talked to me online, or if I talked to anyone online, it will slow down my entire routine.

All of these, and I haven't even watched any anime/shows yet. Only youtube vids and stuffs. Now, if I decide to watch anything, that's more or less it for the day. Else, I'll have the time like right now, to blog about whatever things that came into my life. Which, after this, I must follow it up with revision for the quiz tomorrow. 

NOW. I still haven't have my dinner. So, I'm hungry, tired, and short of time. Oh also, I usually reach home in the evenings these days.

Thankgod I finally sent my phone for repair. Oh well, still have more things to do. Farewell my fellow minions!

p.s. I think I should end all my posts with that from now on. Since I'm the Lord after all.

Could not believe how quickly I went back on my word.

I mentioned that I try my very best to post the pictures I take, on the day itself.; For daily photos.
Here's my problem today, I didn't have space in my bag for my camera, my phone is... screwed as you know. So I didn't have any way of taking pictures.

PLUS. I forgot my keys and was stuck outside till evening. So yes. This is excusable.

I think I have a sadistic side to me. But don't worry, I probably won't lash out on you in real life. Occasionally though, I'll proudly display it like a peacock.

I took the picture when I was on the bus. The window was pretty, the sky was a pale white. Okay, I'm really tired right now. Stupid long walk we had. It was retarded and weirdly fun.

Okay my brain really isn't functioning well right now. Let me sum up the day in as little words as possible.

I did not go to school, it rained like crazy, I went out, we watched tintin, ate bbq chicken, walked to ikea, went to giant, wasted time. went home. ALRIGHT. Time for some much needed rest.

So anyway, tuesdays are really getting more tolerable. With mini breaks here and there. With JUST enough time to grab something to eat in between classes. (or during class, hehe)

Tomorrow will be a really busy day. But I'm sure it'll be a great day as well. I'm just don't really feel like bringing my skates due to the constant rain these days. Not that it'll be impossible to continue, but it's kind of a downer. As usual, I'm too tired to do anything at the moment. Maybe I'll get started on Chapter 3.
