Phuket Trip: Day 3 Video
Friday, May 10, 2013

I think editing a video is more enjoyable to going through hundreds of photos.

But yeah this is Day 3. We did White Water Rafting, Elephant rides and ATV. Sadly it's rather impossible to shoot those videos with my kind of camera. Still, the rest of the events are pretty funny and we had an explosive ending.

I should probably get back to editing the pictures and typing out the events. Man, this is more work than I expected. Day 4 is really long so I'll leave it for another day.

Phuket Trip; Day 1 and 2 Video
Thursday, May 09, 2013

I have to say that I am rather proud of this video! It turned out way better than I thought it would be. Though my expectations did drop a little when I could get some of the shorts I wanted.

I haven't edit any video since I graduated from High School and I have to say that I have done some rather shitty videos in the past. So the point is that I have to learn from the scratch again, though I have a slightly better idea of what to do now.

Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5

First time I'm using this software and this is definitely an overkill for what I am doing, wasted so much time finding out how to do all the simple things. Total time taken: 4hours+. It's times like these that make me fully appreciate having a fast computer. I cannot imagine editing on anything slower, it would be the death of me.

I wanted to try color correction and some other stuffs, but then got too lazy to learn it. Thankfully my camera, Sony HX9V takes awesome video so I didn't have to do much to them.

Well hope you liked the video! There's still 3 days left. Time to find another song that fits the occasion.

Great Day
Monday, April 22, 2013

I love musicals, and I love fucked up humor, this is the perfect blend of both.

I don't know why but today seems like it's gonna be a great day!
There's something in the air that makes me feel like things are gonna go my way
The birds are chirping tweedly-deet, the sun is shining bright!
There's a skip in my step, a pip in my pep [Snort] and I don't know why!

Hey there mailman friend, any letters from my ex-wife or the kids?
No
Fantastic news, HaHaHaHa!

Wonderful day makes me feel so happy that my face is numb!
My heart is racing along barapa pampam!
So many places and people to meet, now that I've lost my job!
They say "Young man, the world's your oyster"
Hey! Hey get the f*** off me! No, f*** no!

[Sniffle] Just give me second. [Snort]
I don't know why but today seems like it's gonna be a great day!
Lalala blah blah blah blah I should spend more time with my kids!
It's carpe diem, gotta seize the day, I'm gonna move to Spain and run with the bulls
And my wife and boss and kids and parents will say "We were wrong about you Dennis"

Hey Dennis!
That's my name!
Are you really gonna run with the bulls?
Why would I do that?
Cause you said you were gonna!
Come on man, that was like three days ago - or was it?

Something today makes me feel fine and fancy-free
Much of the ocean is still unexplored, how did I get up in this tree?
Now I'm over here, now I'm over there
Now I'm under this dude, now I'm back in the tree
Now I'm hanging out backstage with my very best friends: Alec Baldwin and Tom Petty!

Get the f**k out of here!
What?
Now.
Tom!

Why would they diss me?
I thought they were my homies! [Snort]

Any problem is solvable, we can feed the hungry and cure disease
But all of that would be a huge waste of time because we live in the matrix.

[Grunts]
What is wrong with him?
[Grunts]
He's on drugs.
Oh.
[Spits]

Music: Bad Motherfucker
Tuesday, April 02, 2013

I have to post this, but because the music is good. This really isn't my type of music, I post this because the video is so god damn awesome.
(note: it's not the boobs, it has nothing to do with the awesomeness)

Disclaimer: You might feel nauseous watching...

I am thoroughly impressed with how they managed to shoot something like this. It's just really really well made. The fighting and all? Perfect.

Thatcher Effect
Monday, February 04, 2013

Description
But when you turn the photo around...
Demonstrating the Thatcher Effect, which is the illusion of angles when viewing a face and how the mind reads a face.
Even though the eyes and mouth are upside down (right-side up when the face is upside down) we still perceive the face as rather normal until it is flipped around.
Well... projects, tests and deadlines to meet. I'm too damn busy to write anything proper. Let's hope that I manage to get through this week safely.

Beat boxing goat
Thursday, January 31, 2013

Realized it's been awhile since I posted a video.

And this video left the deepest impression this week. Probably fake, I mean, I don't see how this can be real by any stretch of imagination. Definitely one of the videos that totally made me go, "holysh- what th- how th- what?!"

Bitch slapping
Tuesday, January 08, 2013

Description

It's time you learn about the ancient martial art of bitch slapping. It's origins date back to the 10th century, when the Japanese Samurai had to put their bitches in line. They practiced for hours every day until their hands were red and throbbing. And their bitches never stepped out of line.

So I found this video, and I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe properly.

Facts about the Angler Fish
Wednesday, January 02, 2013

Because life kind of sucks now, so there is something funny for you guys to watch.

There's actually there's a lot of truth to it, but there also bullshit and it's that uncertainty that makes it funny as hell.

Hung out with Y today rather unexpectedly, for a weird reason as well. But at least it was rather interesting. So long story short, food, searched for my keyboard, food. Then I realized that I would probably need to head down to Simlim Square tomorrow to get my keyboard.

What keyboard? A mechanical one.
You can rest assure that there'll be a long post regarding it later on. Since it's going to cost a lot.

So far I haven't had a friend supporting that idea of getting an expensive keyboard since I'm not planning to use it for gaming. Yes, I am getting a "gaming" keyboard for the sake of typing. It is very important for me, someone who types a lot. Look at the amount of posts that I write! It's pretty much a novelty thing, but I suppose that I am one of the geeks that is very particular about my computing experience.

Of course, soon I will be tweaking and customizing my desktop with the all-time favourite Rainmeter. But yeah, that'll come when I actually have the time to really get into it.

I am just really excited about getting the keyboard tomorrow. Hopefully I could get some discount off!

Banana?
Saturday, December 15, 2012

I nearly fell on the ground laughing.

Yeah, I'm too busy experimenting with stuffs to write anything proper now. So far did a file and music server. SSH tunneling works, but VPN is kinda screwed. Oh well, I'll write about it when I'm done with this fiesta.

SPIDERMAN!
Saturday, August 25, 2012

Oh this is hilarious as hell.

I also want to run around spraying party cans at people. So anyway had prata with S at Jalan Kayu the other day. The prata was awesome, sadly the picture taken was poop quality and I couldn't bear to smear it all over my blog with it. Which explains the lack of Daily Photos these days.

My exams ends on Wednesday, hopefully more interesting things will come then!

Men, we don't know what we did
Wednesday, August 08, 2012

I just found out about this channel recently am I'm in love with it because they make musicals! This is a rather funny one. The idea is actually from a (really short) scene from family guy.

I really really love musicals.
And one of the things I must add to my bucket list is to learn how to sing that way. And sing it with my friend(s). I just found out a new (old) musical and I'm trying to download it.
Fiddler on the roof (1971)

I really do feel that musicals make lives better.

Daily Photo #116 - 3.4MB/s torrent
Sunday, August 05, 2012

Yeah, this is really geeky, but one nice evening, I managed to torrent at 3.4MB/s. I still have not changed to fiber mind you.

And yea, you could see all my awesome animes downloading.

Life has been slow, mainly because the end of a semester is near. Tests, quizes, project deadlines flying everywhere. Which accounts for the really really boring posts these days. However, I have been working on my own little geeky project, which shall be unveiled next Sunday! Everything has been going along just fine and I'm probably $200 away from something awesome, indecisive about it though.

Because life is so boring, here's something interesting.

A list of youtube videos
Sunday, July 15, 2012

It seems like people are actually curious that I've been away for some time.

Since I don't have anything in particular in my head right now. Here are some very interesting videos for you.

Well, that should be enough to cover for the time that I'm gone. Alright, time to review some animes that I've been watching recently.

Back to the start
Wednesday, June 27, 2012

I absolutely love this video.

"We always tell ourselves to look and move forward; isn't there something that we have lost in the past?"

After a long time, I'm finally starting to read back on my very old blog posts. I found out that in my first couple months of writing, I wrote like shit. My English didn't make sense and the sentence structure is all over the place.

Anyway, I found something that is consistent with my old writings. (at least the first few months that I've read) That is, they sounded happy. They are filled with energy and vibrance. Even so, I was going through some tough situations in life couple of years ago. I saw that I kept my head up high, and continued moving through the buckets of shit.

It's these times when I can actually look back in time, reading the words that I carefully crafted years ago. It brings warmth to my heart.  It feels like I'm having a conversation with my younger self.

Recently, I seem to have lost the passion for skating. Slalom to be exact, I still love to skate around randomly. The feeling of being on wheels is hard to explain unless you've experienced it for yourself.

Years ago, I wrote that I fell down very badly after attempting a trick. Couldn't walk properly for days after that. That's interesting to me. It's like, I can actually see how I got to my current level of skating. It made me rethink about taking slalom more seriously. In fact, I probably would spend a little more time on it, since I could really use a good workout from time to time.

This is what I felt watching this video. That I have lost passion for things I used to love very deeply.

We keep trying to move forward, letting go and discarding things that anchor us down. Once in awhile, we should look back and see, was there something important we lost along the way?
Your passion for music, playing games, eating or collecting items? Or your childhood dreams of becoming a pilot and soar in the sky? Or your first love even?

This may seem counter-intuitive, but maybe we need an anchor to hold us down, and let us know where we belong in this huge empty world. We can keep moving forward, but it's nice to have a place you can call home.
